Philippa | Magali | Raphaël

A distinctive family portrait. With a clear reference to the old masters from the Dutch Golden Age,
in the arrangement of the composition and the specific color scheme with red, blue and green. Although it’s clearly a Chinnoe & Vlemmix signature, made with the same techniques as our flower stilllifes and a lot of emptiness. The three children are placed around a table on which a flower stilllife is proudly displayed with the Angelica in the center. Also called Angelica Root.

RAPHAËL, MAGALI & PHILIPPA

"Angelica” comes from the medieval "Herba Angelica" or "Angel Herb", because the myth says it would protect against evil spirits and that the flower is attributed medicinal protective effect. Archangel Raphaël has recommended the use of this herb to a monk in a dream against bad influence. It is also characteristic that all children Philippa, Raphaël and Magali are accompanied by a butterfly that symbolizes the transformation the children are in. The result is a two-meter-long work on the wall above the sofa. Three children, one photo.
